A note on country fees

In some countries, payment providers add extra charges to payments because of local tax laws. These charges come from the provider and the country, not from GivingAid, and we cannot change them. Where they apply, they are shown clearly so you know before you confirm.

Does it cost anything to create a campaign?
No. Creating and publishing a campaign is free, and so is sharing it and posting updates.
Who pays the 3%?
The Giver. The 3% is added to their gift as a processing fee at checkout. Creators and organisations receive exactly what is raised.
What are third-party processing fees?
They are fees charged by the payment providers that handle payments and payouts, such as mobile money, card or bank partners. They are set by those providers and can differ by country and method.
Why might my country have extra charges?
Some payment providers add charges because of the tax laws in a country. They are applied by the provider, and we show them where we can so there are no surprises.
Are there any other fees from GivingAid?
No. GivingAid charges no setup, listing or subscription fee. The only GivingAid fee is the 3% processing fee Givers add on top of their gift. There are no withdrawal fees.
